The fundamental goal of Autonomic Networking (AN) is self-management, including self-configuration, self-optimization, self-healing and self-protection. The ANIMA list is for discussion of autonomic networking, including the following topics:
- Definitions and gap analysis for AN
- Use cases for AN
- Common requirements for an autonomic infrastructure
- Problem statement and preliminary ideas for possible protocol work
