• GPE – Geo-Political Entity: countries, cities, states
• LOC – Location: non-GPE locations (mountains, rivers, regions)
• FAC – Facility: buildings, airports, highways, bridges

Time

• DATE – Date: absolute or relative dates and periods
• TIME – Time: times smaller than a day
• EVENT – Event: named hurricanes, battles, wars, sports events

Quantities

• MONEY – Monetary Value
• PERCENT – Percentage
• QUANTITY – Quantity: measurements of weight, distance, etc.
• CARDINAL – Cardinal Number: numerals not in other categories
• ORDINAL – Ordinal Number: first, second, third
