Brian

My take on that thread is somewhat different, namely that there is a
distinction, that the IETF defines the valid output of the process and
has never specified the input or processing thereof, leaving every web
browser to exercise its skill and judgment thereon.
(Roy Fielding did say
"I have absolutely no problem with writing a proposed standard
for parsing references, particularly if browser developers are
willing to adhere to one."
and
"It is not non-interoperable behavior to parse input data
differently depending on the context in which it is entered.")

In which case, you can spell that out in this I-D.

Hi Tobias,

Carsten asked for an early review of draft-ietf-core-coap-13. Would
you be able to do it by December 21?

Thanks,

We've changed the text in that area in draft-ietf-6man-uri-zoneid-06,
which has just come out. However, I think we'll leave the general
problem for the Apps Area and the W3C to resolve.

Hello,

Here's the list of drafts for review. If you have any preferences
please let me know.

  draft-bonica-special-purpose-03
I am not taking this one as I posted comments during the Last Call.

  draft-daboo-ical-vcard-parameter-encoding-02
This one was identified for review because of the encoding scheme.

  draft-ietf-6renum-enterprise-04
There's a DNS angle. As some of the reviewers have DNS listed as
expertise it's
worth a review. That doesn't mean that the review should not
look for the Apps
    angle.

  draft-ietf-6renum-static-problem-02
    currently assigned to Dave Cridland

  draft-ietf-avt-rtp-evrc-nw-08
There are some media type registrations.

  draft-ietf-bliss-call-completion-18
I picked it because of URI.

  draft-ietf-mboned-auto-multicast-14
It's about IPv6. There was a nice AppsDir review of a draft on a
related subject. :-)

  draft-ietf-sipclf-format-09
I picked it because of the Internationalization angle.

  draft-schaad-pkix-rfc2875-bis-03
I picked it for the security angle and getting another pair of
eyes looking at
    a -bis draft.

Best regards,
-sm

I had a first quick look: ACK. If there are details I believe we need an

Hi SM,
this I-D is very interesting, but quite extensive and honestly don't
feel totally comfortable handling the large scope of it; if possible I
would prefer to have a week longer, so I could work through it over the
holidays. Would Dec-29 still be ok?
Or would maybe somebody else be faster and interested?

Thanks and sorry for the delay, Tobias

As Carsten made the request extending the date to December 29 is his
call. I am ok with it if he agrees.

I am not comfortable asking you to work through the holidays. As the
draft is quite lengthy maybe the review could be a combined effort of
two reviewers. If anyone would like to help out, please drop me a
note. Alternately, I'll have to find someone else who is faster and
interested. Let's see if anyone steps forward first.

Yes, the scope of this I-D is fairly broad. Plus lengthy. That is indeed
part of my concern.
So if a second volunteer would be open to join, that might indeed be a
good thing for this I-D.

Honestly, it will be extremely difficult for me to find enough time
during my normal work days before Dec-21, as the last days before
Christmas seem to be more crazy busy.... So actually to work on it
during my holidays is rather better for me, like probably also for the
authors. So I have to ask either for extension or a replacement by
someone faster than me.

Best regards, Tobias

Ps.: I definitely can offer the "apps-centric security" review bits.... ;-)

I am not sure whether anyone would be faster as the mailing list has
been quiet. Let's set December 29 as the deadline.

You fit the profile of the ideal reviewer for this assignment. :-)
