IETF 120 Vancouver

The IETF 120 meeting took place in Vancouver and online with the plenary session on 24 July 2024. The IETF Hackathon started on 20 July, with working group and other sessions starting on Monday, 21 July and running through Friday, 26 July 2024. Live video streams of select sessions were available via pages below, and recordings of all sessions, including working groups, Birds of a Feather gatherings, and the plenary are now available on the IETF YouTube channel.

  • IETF 120: IAB Open

    The Internet Architecture Board (IAB) held an open meeting 20:00-21:30 UTC on 25 July 2024.

  • IETF 120: IRTF Open

    The Internet Research Task Force (IRTF) Open session, including an Applied Networking Research Prize (ANRP) presentation was held during IETF 120 on 22 July 2024 at 20:00 UTC.

  • IETF 120: Digital Emblems (diem) Birds-of-a-Feather session

    This Birds-of-a-Feather session at 16:30 UTC on 24 July explored potential work to develop digital emblems that augment physical emblems (such as the “Press” emblems on battlefields).

  • IETF 120: Getting Ready for Energy-Efficient Networking (GREEN) Birds-of-a-Feather session

    This BoF session at 20:00 UTC on 24 July was intended to discuss desires to improve energy efficiency; to understand energy consumption by different links, nodes, and devices/components within a network.

    The plenary session at IETF 120 was held 00:30 - 02:30 UTC on 25 July 2024, providing the usual updates on various administrative and operational topics.
